Awesome stop to get out and stretch your legs. Kids love the petting zoo and it's super cheap!
There are no rest areas on I-16. This is a nice, clean place to get gas, shop, and use the restroom. I say shop, because it is expected that you make a purchase if you want to use their restroom (signs everywhere). They had some locally grown scupernongs that were very good. Also available (but we didn't purchase) Were local wines and moonshine.
There's gas and a petting zoo. It's just a dollar. You should totally get gas here and feed the animals. The goats are awesome, there's exotic birds, emus a sleepy turtle, Black Swan and a huge pig. Do it. Best dollar ever spent.

Convenient interstate access on a highway that time forgot. Fueling was basic enough, but the convenience store was lacking. The coffee pots were empty (granted it was 2pm on a late July afternoon).we had to drive one exit South (to a much better stocked interchange) for coffee. There was a paper sign on the bathroom doors that read something like "due to the high cost of maintaining restrooms on I-16, please make a purchase before using the restroom"... But the restrooms were unkept...so money must not be spent on them! On our way back through a few days later, we made a point to stop at the Southern Metter interchange.
